Children are a key focus and priority at St. Paul's, and we encourage involvement at all ages. St. Paul's parents find wonderful, clean spaces with organic opportunities for children to find new relationships with God in developmentally appropriate ways.
Children’s Formation is comprised of the following ministries:
St. Paul’s nursery is a safe, bright environment, with a warm and caring team of staff and volunteers to care for your child. Care is available on Sunday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for children ages 9 weeks through age four. Snacks are provided.
Pre-K Sunday School
Pre-K Sunday School, staffed by volunteers, is a time for our 3 and 4 year olds to interact with one another and learn about God through Bible-based story time. A weekly related craft accompanies our lesson. Stories follow the liturgical calendar.
During the 10:30 a.m. service, children ages 4+ have their own chapel and kid-friendly liturgy. After interacting with the lesson of the day, children join the rest of the congregation for communion in the 10:30 a.m. service. Snacks are provided.
Godly Play is a Montessori-based curriculum that includes storytelling, interaction, exploration, and creativity to teach and enliven Bible stories. In Godly Play I (age 5 – 3rd grade) and Godly Play II (4th – 5th grade), marvelous things happen as children “work, play and wonder together at the awesomeness of God.”
Social Activities for our Pre-Youth Group Aged Children
Social activities for our Children’s Ministry include a book club held several times a year for our 4th and 5th graders, movie outings, skating, and bowling for our 3rd-5th graders. We also offer a Young Peacemakers program several times a year to teach our 3rd-5th graders conflict resolution skills in a Godly way. In the summer, children ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to join our amazing youth and adult volunteers for themed Vacation Bible School.
