The Mission Statement for the Children's Chapel of St. Paul's:
Purpose: Proverbs 22:6 states that we must train children in the right way, and when they are old they will not stray. The purpose of St. Paul’s Children’s Chapel is to guide children’s experiences with the Word of God, equip children to serve God and to be of service to others, and lead them to experience joyful worship of God.
Goals: In Children’s Chapel, we believe that children need to be encouraged to develop their relationship with the Lord. Our goal is to teach the Word of God in an age-appropriate way, by setting the example of Jesus Christ ’s Love and acceptance, and with God’s help, lead our children as they begin their lifelong journey of Christian faith.
Method: Children from 4 years of age through 2nd grade are invited to participate in Children’s Chapel during the 10:30 service. We are not there to babysit during worship, but rather to provide a worship experience for our children that will better prepare them for “Big” church. The children will experience worship through many of the same methods as adults do: They will listen to the Gospel, sing, pray, and practice our church traditions.
We desire for every child to know that he or she is loved by God, and loved by us; and we
seek to guide them in becoming spiritual champions who will go out, with confidence,
and share God’s love and blessings with others.
